They’re practically invisible, so most people won’t even know you’re in treatment, they fit you perfectly, so they’re more comfortable than regular braces. They are removable, so you can eat whatever you like and clean your teeth normally.

CEREC Veneer Technology
Veneers
What are Veneers?
Dental veneers in are a simple option to improved your smile by closing gaps, reshaping the tooth or covering a discolored tooth. Veneers are thin coverings that are adhered to the front of the tooth. They look like natural teeth. Veneers can be used to correct dental issues:
Veneers are made of either porcelain or composite resin. Dr. Kitzmiller determine the material that is best for your dental situation.

Tooth-Colored Fillings & Bonding
Composite fillings are aesthetic, long-lasting and requires less drilling away of the tooth structure than the silver silver amalgam fillings.
Decay is removed and strong adhesive is applied before the filling is added to restore your tooth to its natural color and function.
Composite resin comes in many tooth colors so it can be matched to the tooth.
The composite material used for fillings can also be used to repair minor chips, close gaps, fill teeth, reshape teeth, fill exposed roots, and even fill crowns.
This process is called dental bonding. It is a cost-effective fix for smaller issues that plague your smile.

FAQs
Got questions? We’ve put together answers to some of the most common things our patients ask—so you’re ready for your visit.
How much does cosmetic dentistry usually cost in Apex, NC?
Cosmetic dental treatments in Apex can range anywhere from a few hundred dollars for whitening or bonding to several thousand for veneers or full smile makeovers. At Apex Dental Group, we’ll provide a customized estimate and help you understand financing or insurance options during your consultation.
Does dental insurance cover cosmetic procedures?
Most dental insurance plans don’t cover procedures done purely for aesthetics, like whitening or veneers. However, if a treatment also restores function—such as a crown or bonding after damage—some coverage may apply. Our team can review your plan and explain what’s eligible before you begin.
Are veneers bad for your natural teeth?
No, when done properly by an experienced dentist, veneers don’t harm your natural teeth. A minimal amount of enamel is gently smoothed to help the veneer bond securely, preserving the health of the tooth underneath.
What’s the most affordable cosmetic dental option?
The most budget-friendly cosmetic options often include teeth whitening or dental bonding. Both can dramatically improve your smile’s appearance without a major investment. During your visit, we’ll discuss which treatment fits your goals and budget best.
How long do veneers and bonding last before they need replacing?
Porcelain veneers typically last 10–15 years, while dental bonding lasts around 5–7 years, depending on care and lifestyle. Avoiding habits like teeth grinding or biting hard objects helps extend their life.
Is professional whitening better than at-home kits?
Yes — in-office whitening uses a higher concentration of safe, professional-grade gel that delivers faster, more even results. Many Apex patients see noticeable improvement after just one visit compared to weeks with store-bought kits.
Can cosmetic dentistry fix small gaps or uneven teeth without braces?
Absolutely. Treatments like veneers, bonding, or clear aligners can close minor gaps and reshape uneven teeth. We’ll help you choose the best solution based on your smile goals and timeline.
How soon will I see results from cosmetic treatments?
Some results are immediate—like whitening or bonding—while others, like veneers or aligners, take a few weeks. Our Apex dental team will outline your full treatment timeline during your smile consultation.
Is cosmetic dentistry safe for older adults?
Yes, age isn’t a limiting factor. Many patients in their 50s, 60s, and beyond choose cosmetic dentistry to brighten or rejuvenate their smiles. As long as your teeth and gums are healthy, you’re a great candidate.
How do I know which cosmetic treatment is right for me?
The best way to start is with a personalized smile design consultation. We’ll evaluate your teeth, discuss what you’d like to improve, and use digital imaging to preview how your new smile could look before you begin.
